Meet Our Team

Our firm consists of two Registered Representatives and one Assistant.

Shelly M. Enger

Shelly Enger is a Registered Representative offering securities and advisory services through FSC Securities Corporation.  Shelly earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the College of St. Catherine and has been assisting clients plan their financial futures since 2000.

Shelly is licensed and registered with state securities and insurances and is an investment advisor representative of FSC Securities Corporation.  Services offered include retirement planning, college savings planning, risk management, taxes and capital preservation.

Shelly lives with her husband and three children in Bloomington, Minnesota. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, running around the lakes, reading and playing (poor) golf, and cheering on her son's Jefferson hockey team.

Dennis J. McNearney

Dennis was born and raised in Minneapolis, attended the University of Minnesota and was inducted into the US Army. After he was discharged, he graduated from the Dale Carnegie sales training course. In 1995 Dennis became an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. In 1974 Dennis started Denny’s Tax Service, preparing income tax returns, and offered accounting and payroll services.  Dennis began a career in financial planning in 1986 and joined Diversified Financial Group as an independent financial planner in 1996.

Dennis is a financial consultant specializing in retirement planning, investment management, financial planning and insurance services. Dennis works with clients individually, developing long-term plans and retirement goals. Clients are assisted in determining when they are ready to retire and are provided with strategies in order to enjoy their retirement.

Dennis currently lives with his wife in Bloomington, Minnesota and enjoys golfing, working on and showing his 1968 El Camino.

Maren A. Kunkel

Maren was born and raised in Park Rapids, Minnesota the youngest of three girls. She joined Diversified Financial Group in June 2019 after working in the Financial Services industry for 22 years, mostly in Producer Licensing and Compliance. Maren is the firm's Assistant and currently provides support to Denny & Shelly for all financial planning aspects and tax preparation.

Maren lives with her husband and their adorable Small Munsterlander in Bloomington. Maren enjoys traveling, watching PBS and her husband's cooking.
